| 1 John 5
1EVERYONE WHO believes (adheres to, trusts, and relies on the fact) that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah) is a born-again child of God; and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him (His offspring). 예수님이 그리스도이심을 믿는 자는 누구나 하나님의 거듭난 자녀입니다. 그리고 아버지를 사랑하는 사람은 누구나 또한 그에게서 난 자를 사랑합니다.
2By this we come to know (recognize and understand) that we love the children of God: when we love God and obey His commands (orders, charges)--[when we keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and His teaching]. 우리가 하나님을 사랑하며 그분의 계명을 지킬때(그분의 명령을지키고 그분의 교훈과 가르침을 지킬 때) 이로써 우리가 하나님의 자녀들을 사랑하는 것을 알아가게 됩니다.
3For the [true] love of God is this: that we do His commands [keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching]. And these orders of His are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous). 하나님을 진정으로 사랑함은 이것입니다.: 우리가 그의 계명을 행하는 것-그분의 명령을 지키고 그분의 교훈과 가르침을 마음에 두는 것-입니다. 그리고 그분의 이 명령은 귀찮고 번거로우며 진절머리나는 (부담스럽고, 눌림받고, 슬퍼보이는)그런 것이 아닙니다.
4For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith. 왜냐하면 하나님에게서 난 자마다 세상을 이기기 때문입니다.
5Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact] 예수님이 하나님의 아들이심을 믿는(실재-사실을 붙들고 신뢰하고 의지하는) 자 외에 누가 세상을 정복하여 승리한 자이겠습니까
6This is He Who came by (with) water and blood [His baptism and His death], Jesus Christ (the Messiah)--not by (in) the water only, but by (in) the water and the blood. And it is the [Holy] Spirit Who bears witness, because the [Holy] Spirit is the Truth. 예수 그리스도 그분은 물과 피로(그분의 세례와 죽으심) 오신 분입니다.= 물만이 아니라 물과 피로 오셨습니다. 이를 증거하시는 분은 성령님이십니다. 성령님은 진리이시기 때문입니다.
7So there are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One; 그러므로 하늘에는 세분의 증인이 계십니다.: 아버지와 말씀과 성령님이신데, 이 세분이 하나입니다.
8and there are three witnesses on the earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree [are in unison; their testimony coincides]. 땅에도 세 증인이 있습니다.:성령님과 물과 피입니다. 이 셋이 일치하여 연합하여 하나로서 증거합니다.
9If we accept [as we do] the testimony of men [if we are willing to take human authority], the testimony of God is greater (of stronger authority), for this is the testimony of God, even the witness which He has borne regarding His Son. 우리가 인간의 권위를 취한다면 (사람의 증거를 인정한다면) 하나님의 증거는 훨씬 더 강력하고 권위가 있습니다. 이것은 하나님의 증거요, 그분의 아들에 대하여 그분이 친히 하신 증거입니다.
10He who believes in the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] has the testimony [possesses this divine attestation] within himself. He who does not believe God [in this way] has made Him out to be and represented Him as a liar, because he has not believed (put his faith in, adhered to, and relied on) the evidence (the testimony) that God has borne regarding His Son. 하나님의 아들을 믿는(굳게 붙들고 신뢰하고 의지하는) 자는 그 자신 속에 그 증거(하나님의 증거)를 가졌습니다. 하나님을 믿지 않는 자는 이렇게 증거하지 않으며 결국 그분을 거짓말장이로 만드는 것입니다. 이는 그가 하나님이 그분의 아들에 대해 하신 증거를 믿지 않기 때문입니다.
11And this is that testimony (that evidence): God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 그 증거란 이것입니다.:하나님이 우리에게 영생을 주셨고 이 생명은 그분의 아들안에 있다고 하는 것입니다.
12He who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son of God does not have that life. 아들을 자기 안에 모신자는 그 생명을 가졌습니다.:하나님의 아들을 모시지 않는 자는 그 생명이 없습니다.
13I write this to you who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) the name of the Son of God [in the peculiar services and blessings conferred by Him on men], so that you may know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have life, yes, eternal life. 내가 하나님의 아들의 이름을 믿는 여러분에게 이 편지를 쓰는 것은 (그분이 사람에게 주신 독특한 섬김과 축복안에서) 여러분이 이미 생명을 예! 영원한 생명을 소유하였음을 (확증되어진 절대적인 지식을 가지고) 알도록 하려는 것입니다.
14And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. 이것이 그분안에서 우리가 소유한 확신(자신감, 담대함의 특권)입니다.: 확신컨대, 즉 그분의 뜻에 따라(그분 말씀을 따라, 그분 자신의 계획에 합치되게) 우리가 요구하는 것은 어떤 것이든지 그분께서 우리의 요구에 귀기울이시고 들어주신다는 것입니다.
15And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him. 그분께서 우리가 요구하는 것은 무엇이든지 들어주신다는 것을 우리가 확실히 알고 있다면 우리는 또한 그분께 구한 것들을 (우리의 현재 소유로서) 우리에게 주셨음을 (확증된, 절대적인 지식을 가지고서)압니다.
16If anyone sees his brother [believer] committing a sin that does not [lead to] death (the extinguishing of life), he will pray and [God] will give him life [yes, He will grant life to all those whose sin is not one leading to death]. There is a sin [that leads] to death; I do not say that one should pray for that. 형제인 신자중 누군가가 죽음(생명을 잃음)에 이르지 않는 죄를 범하는 것을 보게되면 그것을 본 사람은 (그 대신)기도하여서 하나님께서 그에게 생명을 주시도록 해야할 것입니다.(예, 죽음에 이르지 않는 죄를 범한 모든 사람에게는 그분께서 생명을 주실 것입니다) 죽음에 이르는 죄가 있으며(히6:4-6 히10:26-29) : 나는 그것을 위해서 기도해야함을 말하지는 않습니다.
17All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin which does not [involve] death [that may be repented of and forgiven]. 의롭지 못한 모든 것이 죄지만 (회개함으로써 용서를 받아) 죽음에 이르지 않는 죄가 있습니다.
18We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over and protects him [Christ's divine presence within him preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one does not lay hold (get a grip) on him or touch [him].우리가 (절대적으로)아는 것은 하나님께로 부터 난 자는 (심사숙고하고 잘숙지하여) 죄를 범하는 행동을 하지 않으며 하나님의 아들 예수께서 신자를 주의깊게 살피시고 보호하시므로(신자안에 계신 그리스도의 임재하심이 악으로부터 그를 보호하시므로) 악한 자가 그를 향해 주먹을 쥐어 위협하거나 그를 만지지도 못합니다.
19We know [positively] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] is under the power of the evil one. 우리가 확실히 아는 바는 우리는 하나님께 속해 있고 우리 주변의 온 세상은 악한자의 권세 아래 있는 것입니다.
20And we [have seen and] know [positively] that the Son of God has [actually] come to this world and has given us understanding and insight [progressively] to perceive (recognize) and come to know better and more clearly Him Who is true; and we are in Him Who is true--in His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah). This [Man] is the true God and Life eternal. 그리고 우리가 보아왔고 확실히 아는 것은, 실제로 이 세상에 오시고 우리에게 이해와 통찰력을 주신 하나님의 아들이 ( 점차적으로) 참되신 그분을 감지하고(인지하고) 더욱더 잘 그리고 더욱 더 분명하게 알아가게 하시리라는 것입니다.: 참되신 그분안에 그분의 아들 예수 그리스도 안에-우리가 있습니다. 이분은 참 하나님이시며 영원한 생명이십니다.
21Little children, keep yourselves from idols (false gods)--[from anything and everything that would occupy the place in your heart due to God, from any sort of substitute for Him that would take first place in your life]. Amen (so let it be). 자녀들이여, 우상을(심령에 하나님으로 부터 오지않은 것은 어떤 것이든 무엇이든지, 그리고 삶의 최우선에 있어야 마땅하신 그분을 대치하는 것은 어떤 것이든지 우상입니다.) 멀리하십시요. 아멘 |
